I love to paint, especially with gouache, and I usually do my own nails at home—sometimes with fun designs. I’m also currently learning how to sew, which has been a really fun new creative hobby.
Hello! My name is Maya Henderson, and I’m a Computer Science graduate with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence based in Texas.
I recently graduated as Valedictorian, an achievement that reflects my dedication to academic excellence and continuous growth. My long-term goal is to become an AI programmer in the gaming industry, where I can help create immersive, intelligent, and dynamic game experiences.
I originally began my academic journey in Game Development because I’ve always loved creating interactive experiences. However, I quickly discovered that what fascinated me most was artificial intelligence — the systems that bring characters and virtual worlds to life. Games like inZOI, The Sims, and Red Dead Redemption 2 inspire me because of their dynamic systems and believable AI behaviors.
That realization led me to shift my focus to AI so I could deepen my expertise rather than divide my attention. I wanted to build a strong technical foundation in machine learning, intelligent systems, and software development — skills that are valuable not only in gaming, but across many industries.
I’m especially interested in:
Intelligent NPC behavior
Adaptive and data-driven gameplay systems
Machine learning integration in interactive environments
Building smart, scalable software systems
Whether in gaming or another innovative field, I’m passionate about using AI to build systems that feel responsive, intelligent, and impactful.
I’m excited to continue growing, collaborating, and contributing to meaningful AI-driven projects.

Some skills I have developed over the years.
Things I have done that I am proud of.
Designed and integrated a zero-shot NLP model to automatically categorize job-related emails with confidence scoring for improved accuracy.
Implemented Google OAuth and Gmail API pipelines, enabling secure user authentication and real-time email data ingestion inside the application.
Continuing to expand my AI and software development projects with new tools, features, and experiments.
In my most recent project, I have minimal experience with Docker. I want to expand that and learn how to set it up from scratch and the in and outs of it.
I want to deepen my understanding of scalable backend services and API development.
I want to start my own mini game project to learn how to integrate complex AI into games.
My all-time favorite game to revisit every year is Minecraft. It’s always fun to play with friends, and with all the mods available, it feels like a unique experience every time.
My favorite songs change all the time, but there are a couple of artists whose new albums I always love—Laufey, with her jazz-pop and bossa nova-inspired music, and Conan Gray, who makes really great indie pop.
I love to paint, especially with gouache, and I usually do my own nails at home—sometimes with fun designs. I’m also currently learning how to sew, which has been a really fun new creative hobby.
